Sailing 2007 -- Branford to Newburgh | |
![]() This year we decided to sail up the Hudson River. Our ports of call were Port Washington, Manhattan, Tarrytown, Newburgh, Ossining, Manhattan again, and finally South Norwalk (SONO). Here we are passing under the Manhattan Bridge, with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background.

![]() I had to take my own picture. No one else would.
![]() Very nice scenery through this stretch of the Hudson Valley.
![]() We stopped here for gas. Unfortunately, through a series of misunderstandings, the gas dock was not open.
![]() In Ossining, you can get quick response if you have any mental issues while on the water!
![]() Back in Manhattan. We docked at Chelsea Piers, old piers which have been converted to sports use, such as this multi-level golf driving range.

![]() Rob O'brien, who I sailed with in Florida earlier in the year, came to Branford in his convertible. |
